Hope Hilandera, Library Media Teacher

Ms. Hilandera is the senior member of our professional staff having served at Christian Brothers High School for 9 years as the school librarian. Her leadership has brought many improvements and innovations to our library program due to her knowledge and dedication to Christian Brothers High School. Her undergraduate degree is from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and she has done post graduate work in Computer Science, Web Design and Art. Automating the library, adding online databases, a major weeding and updating of the collection, and making the libray into a full -fledged library media center are among her major contributions to library service at CBHS.

Wes Doak, Library Media Teacher

Mr. Doak holds an MLIS from Massachusetts and a Masters level certification in Program/Project Management from UC Davis. He has served as Chief of Library Development for the State of California and as State Librarian for the State of Oregon. He is a life member of the American Library Association and an active member in the California Library Association, the California School Library Association, the Catholic Library Association, and related professional associations. Mr. Doak teaches graduate school library media courses at CSU Sacramento and information technology at USF. Mr. Doak is also a Senior Fellow in the American Leadership Forum. In addition to our professional staff we honor the many young men and women of Christian Brothers High School who elect to serve in the library at different times througout the year. These enthusiastic young people assist the professional staff and our library users in many ways and make our library much more effective than we could ever manage without them.
